Did you know that carton packaging is more flexible?

It has expanded its secondary packaging portfolio by designing more flexible machines: the platform's core technology integrates one or more robotic units seamlessly for carton loading. The products it handles include food and certain pharmaceutical applications.

The camera-based vision control system of this robotic system can detect products on the infeed belt. Robots randomly pick single or multiple arriving products and reliably place them into cartons, trays, or other containers according to specifications. To achieve additional packaging flexibility, the new carton packaging machine can also package different products simultaneously from several feeding processes. Shenzhen carton packaging printing.

Modular integration of robotic cells

Each cartoning machine can be equipped with one or more robotic units. A camera-based vision system detects the position of individual products on the infeed belt. The robot's picking rate largely depends on the product. It is typically 60-90 products/minute, with a maximum of up to 120 products/minute.

During single or multi-picking processes, the robotic arm picks products from the conveyor belt and places them into flat or edge-standing cartons. This process is organized according to the counterflow principle: cartons move in the opposite direction to the products. This reduces waste rates and correctly fills each carton. The robot can track both the infeed conveyor and carton transport, which allows continuous loading of products into cartons.

Flexible point-of-sale display

Consumers demand a wide range of product choices, which is reflected in the broad retail offerings. This carton adds display options at the point of sale: it offers the possibility of inserting products either flat or on their edge into the carton. Since D can input products from multiple process sources, different products, such as small pouches containing various snacks, can be loaded into one carton.

End-to-end carton control ensures quality

Another core technology of the platform is its full carton control from forming to loading, which also employs this technology. Each carton is individually placed on a separate cardboard box.

Fast format changes and less waste

The design is easy to access, easy to clean, and uses a patented tool-free format change concept. Thanks to preset formats, settings are clear, and sources of error can be minimized. An operator can independently complete format changes in a short time and restart the machine without readjusting format components.
